WHAT MAKES NANCY SPECIAL
One of Nancy's many unique talents is her astounding ability to connect people: she is able to assess skills, needs, and interests and put people together. She doesn't just connect people; Nancy is able to take complicated academic research (e.g. neuroscience, psychology, sociology, etc.) and apply it in new ways to everyday situations professionals in our industry face.
Nancy demonstrated two key behaviors on a large virtual networking event: inclusion and respect for the knowledge and expertise we all possess. We had to invite Nancy to join The Zip Syndicate when we saw her moderate this 20+ person event. Nancy introduced every single person in a way that showed she cared about their knowledge and expertise, she wanted everyone else to see the value of that person as part of that group, and she wanted each person to know they were welcome, valued, special and important.
As well educated, written, studied and connected as Nancy is she never dominates a conversation and is always funny, open, candid, listening, and welcoming.
